All DECT 6.0 phone have 1.9 GHz signal.
    No 6. Ghz phones available.

    SEE DETAILS BELOW FROM WIKI

    DECT 6.0
DECT devices made for use in the U.S. and Canada use the term DECT 6.0 to distinguish them from both DECT devices used elsewhere and U.S. cordless equipment operating in the 900 MHz, 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz ISM bands. It is a marketing term coined by Rick Krupka, Director of Cordless Products at Siemens, when he was pushing the FCC to accept DECT in the US and is not a spectrum band reference. The term "6.0 GHz" for DECT 6.0 phones is incorrect as they operate at 1.9 GHz, but the term DECT 1.9 might have confused customers, as they may solely interpret larger numbers as signifying a better (or later) product.

I am using DECT phone. It is mentioned as DECT 6.0

is it same as 1.9GHz or different 6.0 GHz?

    Hello,

I have heard of the TERM 'Interfiling' to port your priority date from EB3
to EB2. This i hear happens when your 485 is pending with USCIS and
you have an EB2 labour with current PD date. So you transfer the PD using Interfiling.

Any one any thoughts or have you done this ?

    Thank You !

Maybe we can use the H-1 B reform bill, to recapture unused visas during the last many years. Make H-1 B tough but at the same time, release those green card numbers. Carrot and Stick approach.

The percentage of people here are a very small percentage of that 25%.

H1/L1 restrictions are not going to encourage american kids. It does not impact their thinking. Maths, science are tougher subjects for kids. Kids in India were pushed by their parents to study science in search for a good career. Kids here have a lot other avenues which are more attractive to a kid. Kids do not understand L1/H1. 90% of adult population here does not understand H1/L1. REstricting H1/L1 will not influence a kid to take up science and engineering.

    Guys,

Conflicting opinions are welcome and necessary. However, pls let us eliminate the mudslinging that gets personal so quickly, just because we disagree.

From a practical point of view, given the situation today, getting doors open for citizenship looks remote: True.

However, in a land of immigrants, We The Legal, can stress a case for fairness. Just because we were born in a certain country and were classified by the law, the lawyer and the employer, sometimes unfairly, to be in a certain category, does not mean that we'll get into mainstream 15 years after others.

This is why we are a part of IV. There have been past successes with IV.
    Pls let us TRY.

Till now I do not see any one voted up for this. It is very sad that our own community is not supporting this. If you are not able to search for it in change.gov, give the complete title and see.
Citizenship if you have lived legally in this Country for 10 years continuously (http://citizensbriefingbook.change.gov/ideas/viewIdea.apexp?id=087800000004wel)

Guys Vote... Vote ... for us, for our kids....

Great effort Saralayar. I just voted. Vote for this, everyone. This is the least we can do get on the radar. There are so many voices crying for attention --- please vote so that we may be heard.

    It is very easy:
    1. Go to http://citizensbriefingbook.change.gov/home
    2. Register, by clicking on "sign in to get started now" (very quick --- no email verification steps, etc.)
    3. Search for "Citizenship if you have lived legally in this Country for 10 years continuously" (without quotes), in the "find an issue you care about" search box
    4. Vote by clicking on the up arrow.

Post a quick comment as well. This way we will draw more attention to it.

    Dear Mr. XXX,

Pursuant to our conversation today, I am forwarding the reply from the Nebraska Service Center of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (CIS) regarding our inquiry into your application for Adjustment of Status (I-485).

Our office initiated an inquiry into your case as a result of your correspondence dated September 12, 2007 sent to Congresswoman Maxine Waters. If you receive or do not receive a notice of action from CIS within the next 30 days please notify our Immigration Caseworker, Blanca Jimenez at ext. 18.

Thank you for contacting the office of Congresswoman Maxine Waters to assist you in this matter.

    Sincerely,

    Blanca Jimenez
    Constituent Services Supervisor
Office of Congresswoman Maxine Waters (CA-35)
    323.757.8900 ext. 18
    323.757.9506 fax

    Good Morning Ms. Jimenez,

I do not show that we have data-entered Mr. XXXs I-485 yet. The I-485 must be in line to be data-entered because we receipted an I-765 (LIN-07-245-XXXX).

The I485 application is still pending at this office. Although the Department of State Visa Bulletin indicated visas were available for most employment categories USCIS still has to adjudicate every application. NSC has approximately 26,000 I485 applications that may have a visa available and we are reviewing them as expeditiously as possible. This application is in line to be worked but it will take time. Please allow an additional 45 days for NSC to adjudicate the application. If you have not received a notice from NSC after 45 days you may submit another inquiry.

    Thank you,

    Congressional Liaison
    U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service
    Nebraska Service Center

    Respected Ms Waters,

Sub: USCIS inefficiency for Legal Immigration

I send my I-485 AOS application to USCIS and received on July 2nd 2007 at Nebraska Service Center, Lincoln, NE.

It's almost approx 75 days since the application received at USCIS and have not received the Receipt Notice or any notification from USCIS.

I tried to contact Customer Service at USCIS. They don't provided any information. USCIS website updates show they are processing 08/01 or later for AOS application. They are not following the First In First Out(FIFO) order.

I need help of your good to know the status of my I-485 application.

    Thank you,

So attack on L1 is on the way.

What about another plan to attack F1?

You are NOT supposed to have immigration intent when you apply F1. So what about targeting all those F1 now, since it is very obvious that they didnt come here just to study and go back. So lets smoke them out based on their "fraud intentions" at the time of F1 application.

After that lets attack the H1 landers. Many of them landed in H1 with body shoppers, and later changed to some big american company. Lets find some thing or other against these body shoppers, and all those H1 came with these body shoppers should go back (even though they are with some other company).

Ok. what is left.......... lets find out something bad about everybody else, except me.

Ohh... wait a sec..... we were supposed to be "united", by this forum, not "divided".

We should form a union and flout our numbers to lobby aganist any bill. Unless we show our numbers nobody is going give flying f*** about us.

So UNION is good when you want to be on that for collective bargaining to serve your ends.

However, it is really bad for the economy when auto-workers have a union (as many mentioned in this forum about the non-existent $94/hr UAW worker).

BTW, this is not the only place where Indian IT professionals are expressing the need for UNION. These days, I saw even offshore company employees talking about the need for UNION since many companies like Infosys are quietly sacking employees without any severence.

There are 3 kind of jobs -
    1. Jobs that require active security clearance - this kind of job is only limited to US citizen that have security clearance of that level. Yes, tehre are different levels in security clearance as well.
    2. Jobs that will be in unit where everyone must be US citizen. These kind of jobs can be filled by US citizen without the need of any security clearance.
    3. Jobs that are open for everyone - One must have active work authorization.

The vast majority of the jobs are of type #3. In any case, if job requires US citizen, the hiring place must be able to answer why that job is restricted to US citizens only.

Let me share my wife's bitter experience. She told the employer about EAD. She got interview thrice and selected. Offer letter came and they mentioned that it is only allowed after the security clearance such as NAT.
    Employment verification was success.
Then when they sent papers to NAT clearance they rejected immediately as for NAT clearance one must be Green Card holder atleast.
The HR department mentioned sorry for their confusion as they themselves completely do not understand the whole thing.
So, any security clearance jobs for Govt/Military/AirForce dont waste your time if you are EAD holder.

It actually comes down to the language. I haven't read the rollover from EB to FB (if at all it happens), but look at the language for EB1. It talks about regular number + any not used by EB5. The language for EB5 is lost when it trickles down.

Does it mean: 1. EB5 can only be used by Eb1 and not rolled down further?

    or

    2) Does it mean that any of the EB5 unused numbers that are also not required by Eb1 rolls down to EB2.

If it is choice 1, then I suspect we have no case. If however, it is choice 2, then it is clear through the language that spill over Eb1 goes to Eb2 and EB3 at the same time. If not, based on the language of EB1, Eb3 would have just said "unused numbers of EB2", which means it would use Eb1 numbers only if Eb2 did not need them.

Suggestion to go via AILA is a good one, but do we have contact into AILA??

I feel it is Choice 2 as Choice 1 is not possible..If Choice 1 is the case how is EB5-->EB1-->Eb2 happening now justified???

Also, Is EB1-I/EB1-ROW quota used up every year???If not that has to trickle down to EB2 and EB3 if they change the EB3 allocation interpretation.

My H1-B was extended in October 2007 for three more years. My wife went to India and is going through this PIMS BS now. Chennai Consulte applied on Feb 6th. Some cases listed on this forum are scary as hell. Called the VFS office, all they say is they have not received the pp. After four days got the number for the consulate from VFS. Calling them daily. Same story, with each passing day, I could sense the increasing irritation in the voice of the consulate personnel to my questions. I wish I could talk to them in person and vent out my anger. This afternoon I called the DOS. The number is 202-663-1225 incase anyone needs it. I explained my case and asked her if they are missing any information. The reply: No your VISA looks fine. Then the robotic answer, PIMS verification is under process.

I think VFS should specify it on their website and warn people about these delays. Warn people about the PIMS BS and suggest that they should not make any travel plans till they are sure this PIMS BS is resolved.
