Yep, few states consider long time residents as out-of-state /international students if they are in any other status than that of GC/Citizen. I live in MN and Univ. of Minnesota considers me as international student though I have lived in this state for more than 2 years and have been in this country for 10 years.

Hi All,
Its seems that my approved EAD card lost from mailbox (seems like post man delivered it in diff mail box instead of mine).. It�s been more than 15 days of approval but no card in the mail.
I contact customer service and they said wait for 30 days otherwise file new one. I am not sure what are the option I have if I won�t receive my card on time? My existing EAD is expiring within next 25 days. Is there any way that I can get my card back or USCIS issue new card without filling new one?

Hi ,
I received RFE on my I-131 application asking for all the I-94's that is being issued to me.
I had been in and out of US many times and there's lot if I-94's involved and I don't anything with me except the latest. What options do I have?... Also couple of times during my earlier trip (initial visits in US), the AIR Line didn't even take the I-94 from my Passport which ultimately I lost.
My Passport has all the entries indicating my Date in and Date out...
Gurus - What do you advise on my case...
Anybody's input are highly appreciated and I know we could somehow get the I-94 copies by requesting USCIS. (That is time consuming)... I have to respond in next five to ten days...

That is because I see lot of kids come to "what was the name again" schools with megre or no GRE scores just to land here once they get to OPT they get 8 - 10 yrs of experience out of nowhere and they are out in the job market. I can spend all day writing about them, the school and the quality of education but it is not going to do any difference.

You could buy a TV but you will not know when you will get it. It could be shipped the next week, the next month, next year or never.
The credit card may not be charged, may be charged twice or a valid CC may get rejected.
Somebody who buys a TV from USCSIS a 2 years after you do, he may get it sooner than you do.
USCIS has no way of knowing how many TVs have been ordered and how many of them are in stock.
In case you do not receive your TV in two years, USCIS acknowledges that there is a long wait time for some and does not do anything about it. USCIS thinks acknowledgment of wait time is more than enough that it has done for the customers. Customers did not deserve this but USCIS did a favour to them being a good "Customer Service" company
There would be an online survey after you buy it which would never get submitted 99% of the times.
In case it did get submitted, somebody will read one out of 10,000.
After reading it he will throw it in the trash can.
If you get a defective TV (which is quite likely), you have a chance to file appeal by paying the same amount of money for the TV again so that your case can be re-opened.
I wonder how many customers would USCIS have eventually ??? Any guesses ??? :-)

I too got RFE. I agree "Address Change" triggers for some reason.

I am sorry, I did not chose my words carfully enough, it is Sugested that you atlest can make a Flexible website that anybody can update imformation. this is where XML and XSLT come in, XML can hold data and is widly used for almost anything, XSLT can transform XML into XHTML or HTML, PHP would be used for anything that you would not like to have Stadic (just look at the Server side fourm) Once again I did not pick the best words, and I am sorry for that. though I agree there is no grace period however practically USCIS has not been rigid about the dates. MOST of the employers do not inform USCIS about firing of H1b. During dot com bust, USCIS has 'unofficially' said that 15-20 days are good enough (again not as a policy decision but informally). It should be avoided, however it may not be always possible, and having few days gap should not be something on which you make life or death decision.
Yes there is no grace period but INS overlook 3-4 weeks gap after layoff.I have seen lot of cases getting approved, if there were filed in that time period.

The most effective method is to fax your suggestions to the lawmakers� offices across the country. We should start with the sponsors and co-sponsors of the PACE bill. Pls learn how you can access PACE co-sponsors names in the 3rd post at this thread:

My wife and daughter planning to go to India next month. They do not have H4 stamping but H4 validity is there up to next year. Plan is to come back after receiving AP. I am thinking that once their AP is approved I will send their AP to India, and they will come back using that AP. Experts, do you see any problem in this. Please share your thoughts.

I think for you to be able to use AP to enter it should be approved prior to your exit out of the country. You might want to consult an attorney or USCIS on this. If the IO at POE stops them there is nothing you can do. So be very careful on what you want to do here.

Hello All -
I am planning to get my PP renewed at the NY consulate and had a couple of questions and I was hoping someone could shed some light on them.
i) The DC website states that one can *only* apply 6 months before expiration date but the NY website does not? Mine is going to expire in ~8 months. Anyone know if it is 6 mo across all consulates?
ii) They have it in big red font that the photograph should be 3.5 cm * 3.5 cm, the US standard PP size is 50 mm * 50 mm .. any ideas where I can get them done in the right dimension?
iii) If applied in person do they issue the PP the same evening?

Yes offer premium procesing of 1-485. They can charge maybe 5000$ per person.

I took an info pass last week to check the status of my case. Specifically to check whether the interfile is success or not. IO at USCIS office mentioned that she cannot check whether my case is in EB2 or EB3. I am surprised to hear that. Gurus any has this kind of experience?
Also, She mentioned that my case is assigned to an Officer on August 13th. Do any one has any info how many days(on average), an Office will take to approve a case. Any info. is helpful to me and all.
Overall the Field Office people were polite.
