I am in the same boat. Sent my application for EAD and AP renewals on 06/01. Received at phoenix lock box on 06/03. No updates yet. My EAD is expiring in the last week of july.

Another thought i had was...Before all of us june,july,august folks land up in the blackhole of FBI namechecks...Can we lobby for some kind of transparency?What in the world can make them take 4 yrs to check a persons name?Can they at least maintain a website that they update as and when a name check is completed...Please core and members,do something about this...something as effective as the campaign to accept july applicants!!while they are overhauling the system let them get it right all the way!!

Glad to see there is some hope in future for EB3 I.
But we shouldn't rest on these hopes. If we can get at-least couple of items on IV agenda (recapture , STEM) passed we should all be greened for sure.

I am in a similiar situation. My 485 was approved and my wife got her physical GC but I did not get mine. I took Infopass and the IO raised a SR. My case is from CSC to NSC. I got a response to the SR that my GC was sent and it might have got lost in mail and to file I-90. I called uscis customer rep, talked to 2nd level IO who mentioned that my card was never created and he will raise a SR mentioning the same.
Today I got 2nd FP notice mentioning that I did not give FP for the first one (I gave FP ahead of the scheduled date and verified with FBI if my prints were uploaded or not) and to appear for FP on Jan 11th, 2011. I spoke with a IO on the day this FP notice was sent and IO asked me the date I gave FP and he mumbled some numbers and checked something in the system. He said he had fixed the issue and ignore the 2nd FP. He mentioned his name to me. I should have taken his extension as well. I hope I get the card now or else I need to take Infopass. I emailed nsscfollowup with the scanned copy of the first biometrics notice which has the stamp from the ASC last week only.
I have n't contacted senators and congressmen yet and did not email the scopsscata yet

Can you pick an year and month for EB2-India for the October 2008 Visa Bulletin (start of new fiscal year)?
Ron Gotcher believes EB2-India will be somewhere at 2002/2003.
Even the prediction of end of the universe could be made more accurately than what will happen to the visa bulletin. It's true there may be retrogression in Sep 08 for EB2-I, but the movements back and forth are likely to be minimal.

The Process of giving Birthright citizenship is a law called Jus Soli(14th Amendment) which was implemented in 1900's . Numbersusa and others are fighting to change the Jus soli to jus sanguinis which gives citizenship based on the child's parents Status to reduce the "Numbers".India Abolished Jus Soli in 1987 and dosent offer Birthright citizenship. I think going this Route to discuss the possibility to fight for parents naturalisation based on child's status will make us no different from Illegal Immigrants.

The point that I was trying to make but did not state clearly enough was that I feel that when one has a political agenda whether it is pro or anti immigration, children should be kept out of it. Labeling children like anchor babies is dehumanizing. I believe that when kids are involved, as human beings, everyone should always be concerned about their best interest rather than what our political view.
This is why I hate the term anchor babies. The antis are willing to even dehumanize kids if it fits with their political view.

did the io specifically say that? why do they care about other income? i would really like to know... if they are now saying that you cannot have any other income then all those who are trying to do a business on the side while on EAD could be in trouble! right?

Yes, I guess I went through that scrutiny when I submitted the employment letter and payslips and W-2 last month...the IO had told me that he had employment letter from 2007 so he would like a current one and he wanted my tax details compared to W-2 to see if there was any other income apart from my job income.

Was your I-140 approved? In my case I have I-140 approved and have moved to another job with EAD but havent informed my old employer ,so now my question is if he revokes I-140 will it affect my GC at the I-1485 stage?

and 2 years exp. listed. Why does EB2 require 5 years?. The Job description that was included during my LC had masters plus 2 years exp DOL audits have increased for small companies for sure
It was my bad, yes you are right..(Master + 2 or Bachelor + 5), And as wandmaker suggested nowadays "coma or full stop" is also audited in strict manner.

just for comparison sakes...do remember that the distance from churchgate to virar (in bombay) is 35 km. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mumbai_Suburban_Railway.
That is equivalent of approx 22 miles. I doubt there is anybody is bombay that drives 35 km one way on a daily basis. But in the US living 10-20 miles from work is not bad. People in my office drive about 40 miles one way without blinking an eyelid. Some drive even more. Plus the cars that they have in india have smaller engines, smaller capacity thereby better gas mileage.
So for people who say gas is a non issue, think again.
Yes, thinking again, my opinion still remains the same. Gas prices in the US moved up from 25c a gallon in the late 60s to what it is now. No one stopped driving on account of that. Ditto with India.
I say, we will not see signifcant changes in the US lifestyle due to increasing gas prices. People will adapt and continue to do what they are doing. But this is theory and cannot be substantiated with evidence. Hence, I accept I could be wrong too.

Guys, what about July 2007 filer. I filed my 485 then without my wife's name as she somehow could not join me then. I am hoping that as soon as my dates are current, I'll immediately file my wife's 485 on the first day of the month. Hopefully that should include her in my app before its approved.

IV have given enough information to everyone. IV have proved that they can do it if they get our support.
What else do we want, when we have people willing and taking efforts to go to DC sacrificing their personel time, family and spending their own money. Time has come for everyone to come forward and contribute money. They along with QGA are meeting the senators.
For those who have contributed more than once, thanks a lot to you guys. For those who have not contributed so far, please come forward and please contribute money. Contributing money to IV is not going to make you rich or poor. By contributing money to IV you are doing a favor to yourself.
